A new partnership with Zing Coach brings personalized, adaptive programming to NYSC members, without sidelining human trainers
New York Sports Club has a new personal trainer who doesn’t take days off and can work with every member in the gym at once.

The fitness operator has tapped Palta-backed Zing Coach, which raised $10 million in a Series A round in 2024, to launch MYCO, its new AI-powered coaching platform.

Members can access MYCO through the Zing Coach app beginning April 13 and try it free for 30 days. After the trial, the subscription is $15 per month and will be billed separately from their NYSC membership.

MYCO is meant to complement personal trainers, not replace them — handling the in-between with guidance and accountability to keep members engaged, NYSC said.

Through the MYCO app, members can access personalized workout plans that adapt to their goals, schedule and fitness level, chat directly with an AI coach, track progress through body scans and fitness assessments, monitor strength, flexibility and mobility scores and access nutrition guidance.

“Our members expect personalization and progress, not just access,” New York Sports Clubs CEO Bill McMenamy said. “Integrating AI-powered coaching allows us to extend expert guidance to all members of our clubs, using emerging technology to support members’ goals in a way that’s more connected, intelligent and sustainable.”

The Zing Coach deal adds to NYSC’s growing number of tech-driven partnerships. The operator recently announced a tie-up with digital health platform Thrive, giving members access to biomarker testing, longevity care, hormone balance and weight-loss treatments, including GLP-1s.
