KPM Berlin, the prestigious German royal porcelain manufactory with over 260 years of heritage, has announced a joint collaboration with the renowned Berlin-based creative studio Sucuk & Bratwurst. Together, they have officially unveiled SporTea: the Kettlebell Teapot, a cross-boundary art tableware collection. Fusing the iconic form of an 8 kg strength-training kettlebell with the delicate, fragile medium of fine porcelain, the edition is limited to 100 pieces per colorway worldwide, priced at €600 each.
A Bold Collision Between Heritage Craftsmanship and Pop Culture
Through their keen insight into contemporary pop culture and product design, the creative team at Sucuk & Bratwurst has breathing new artistic vitality into the ubiquitous gym kettlebell.
Reimagining an Iconic Silhouette: The teapot fully preserves the substantial contours of a classic 8 kg cast-iron kettlebell, complete with the embossed “8 KG” lettering on its side. By seamlessly integrating functional teapot details—such as a spout and a lid—it effortlessly bridges the gap between intense physical training and serene tea culture.
The Aesthetic of Material Contrast: The contrast between heavy-duty fitness equipment and delicate porcelain creates a subtle interplay of “materiality, expectation, and perception.”

Handcrafted in Berlin Workshops, Demonstrating True Mastery
The SporTea collection is entirely produced at KPM Berlin’s historic manufacturing site near Tiergarten, Berlin, reflecting the highest standards of fine porcelain craftsmanship:
Hand-Sprayed Color and Platinum Accents: The main body of each teapot is hand-sprayed by KPM master painters in vibrant royal blue and energetic orange. The handle is further elevated with hand-painted platinum embellishments, adding a luxurious touch.
Dual Functionality: While designed as a sculptural art piece (Kunstobjekt) offering high collectible value and striking visual impact, SporTea retains full functionality as a working teapot—balancing aesthetic appreciation with practical use.
Product Launch Overview
