The recall notice was initiated by the United Kingdom (in respect of Northern Ireland) with official enforcement actions taken in Ireland.

Safety Hazard & Non-Compliance

According to official safety reports, the lock gate of the carabiner can malfunction, causing it to fail to close automatically. If the gate remains unlatched during use, there is a heightened risk of unintended rope detachment, which could result in a severe fall from height and potential life-threatening injuries.

The affected product fails to satisfy the mandatory health and safety standards established by the European Union Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Regulation.
