LINYI, China,  August 29 — The three-day 7th Shandong Sports Goods Expo (hereinafter referred to as the “Shandong Sports Expo”) successfully concluded today at the Linyi International Expo Center.

Jointly hosted by the Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau and the Linyi Municipal People’s Government, and organized by the Linyi Municipal Sports Bureau, the Linyi Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the Lanshan District People’s Government, the Expo anchored its core strategic positioning on “Building an International Procurement Center for Sports Goods.” Leveraging the development momentum of the 26th Shandong Provincial Games hosted in Linyi, the event achieved its strategic objectives of “deepening presence in Northern China, connecting national resources, and expanding into global markets.”

Utilizing three major halls at the Linyi International Expo Center, the Expo spanned an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters across six themed exhibition zones. It convened 516 premium sports enterprises and source manufacturers—including Taishan, Impulse, Luxis, Qiangmeng, Youguan, Ocean’s King, Suoder, Liansheng, Sportsoul, Jinling, Kexing, Jinuoer, Zhangxue Motorcycle, Harley-Davidson, and Yuanxing Outdoor. The showcase covered the entire sports industry supply chain, including fitness equipment, venue facilities, outdoor gear, sports nutrition, educational sports equipment, and competitive athletic gear.

During the event, participating companies introduced new annual products, technological achievements, and integrated system solutions, providing buyers with an efficient, direct channel to the manufacturing source. Over its three-day run, the Expo attracted more than 50,000 visits from buyers and visitors across over 30 Chinese provinces (including Shandong, Jiangsu, Hebei, Beijing, Anhui, and Henan) as well as overseas markets.

Capitalizing on the growing trend of “sports industry globalization,” this year’s Expo further deepened its international footprint. From August 27 to 28, multiple international buyer matchmaking sessions were held in Hall 1 of the Linyi International Expo Center. A total of 152 overseas buyers from 38 countries and regions—including the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia—attended the event to negotiate and place orders. Sourcing requirements spanned the entire industry chain, encompassing smart fitness equipment, outdoor leisure gear, venue facility materials, and athletic apparel. Through a precise service model featuring one-on-one demand matching and targeted category negotiations, the Expo established a direct global pipeline for exhibiting enterprises, helping them expand into overseas markets and tap into global business opportunities.

The Expo innovatively adopted a multi-dimensional “Exhibition + Events + Forums” model, establishing a professional and influential platform for industry exchange.

  • Events & Competitions: A series of trendsetting competitions took place, including the 7th China Sports Intelligent Manufacturing Competition, the National Pickleball Invitational & Pickleball Industry Development Summit, the Youth Parkour Championship, and the Drone Soccer Invitational. By utilizing competitions to gather momentum and leveraging exhibitions to drive trade, the event presented cutting-edge sports trends and industrial technologies while stimulating public sports consumption and fostering a vibrant local athletic atmosphere.
  • Forums & Summit Conferences: Twelve high-level industry events were held concurrently, including the 4th Council Meeting of the 2nd Shandong Sports Industry Federation and the East China Sports Economy Exchange Seminar. Representatives from government, business, and academia delivered in-depth analyses on sports economic trends and industrial upgrading pathways, creating an efficient platform for government-enterprise alignment and industrial synergy.

Notably, as a landmark competition in the field of sports technology, the Award Ceremony of the 7th China Sports Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Competition was held on August 28. Centered around the theme “Innovation Builds Dreams, Intelligent Manufacturing Shapes the Future,” the competition attracted 171 valid entries from 161 enterprises and organizations across 22 Chinese provinces and regions since its launch on May 21. Following rigorous evaluation rounds, 133 high-quality projects emerged to win awards:

  • Grand Prize: AI-SportStack: A Cross-Domain Heterogeneous All-Modal Computing Power Sharing Platform for University Physical Education
  • Gold Awards (3 projects): Including the Multimodal Intelligent Variable-Speed Cycling Ecosystem
  • Silver Awards (6 projects): Including the AI Smart Sports Radar Tester
  • Bronze Awards (10 projects): Including the Visbody 4D Full-Domain Intelligent Body Assessment System
  • Excellence Awards: Awarded to 30 projects, including Smart Safety Anti-Fall Outdoor Sports Equipment.
