On August 24, Impulse—a leading Chinese fitness equipment manufacturer headquartered in Qingdao—officially launched its Smart Fitness and Wellness Equipment R&D and Manufacturing Base project in Hainan, China. During the event, Impulse joined forces with international organizations, industry institutions, enterprises, and academic bodies—including the Indonesian Olympic Committee, Realcan Pharmaceutical Group, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Hainan Key Laboratory of Sports and Health Promotion—to establish the Global Health Technology Ecosystem Alliance.

Simultaneously, Impulse unveiled the AI Health Technology Innovation Center in partnership with Photonics, along with its latest product: the “Infinite Energy” AI Sports & Health Smart Ring.
Cross-Sector Partnerships Connecting Sports, Tech, and Healthcare
Founded in 1991, the Qingdao-based brand is China’s first dual-Olympic fitness equipment supplier. Impulse has long expanded internationally through a dual-engine strategy of ODM/OEM manufacturing and proprietary brand development. The newly signed agreements highlight the company’s transition from traditional hardware manufacturing toward comprehensive health and wellness services:
- International Sports & Markets: Partnering with the Indonesian Olympic Committee to expand international trade, brand reach, and athletic event synergy.
- R&D and Talent Development: Teaming up with the Hainan Key Laboratory of Sports and Health Promotion for industry-university research, and with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to advance campus sports and youth wellness.
- Healthcare & Corporate Wellness: Collaborating with Realcan Pharmaceutical Group to explore corporate health management and employee wellness services.
- Frontier Tech R&D: Leveraging the new AI Innovation Center with Photonics to focus on artificial intelligence and smart wearable technology.
Utilizing the Hainan Free Trade Port for “Ecosystem Globalization”
Impulse is leveraging Hainan as a strategic springboard to better serve the global market.
By combining its Hainan smart manufacturing hub with the Global Health Technology Ecosystem Alliance, Impulse is creating a unified matrix across technology, manufacturing, market access, and scientific research. This move signifies a shift for Chinese sports equipment enterprises—moving beyond simple product exports to a holistic model of global brand presence and ecosystem collaboration.
