The Health & Fitness Association (HFA) and the Fitness Technology Summit (FTS), presented by AltaDX, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at unifying global fitness leadership, technology, and industry advocacy across major international events in 2027.
The collaboration was officially unveiled during The Fitness Technology Summit 2026 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
Joint European Conference Set for May 2027
The cornerstone of the agreement will combine the HFA European Congress and FTS’s European conference into a single flagship event: The Fitness Technology Summit / European Congress in Partnership with HFA.
Scheduled for May 25–26, 2027, in London, the unified conference will merge HFA’s focus on advocacy, research, and global growth with FTS’s expertise in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and operational technology. The event aims to create a comprehensive platform for European operators, technology providers, investors, and industry federations to address evolving sector challenges, including digital member engagement and health integration.
“Bringing our European Congress together with the Fitness Technology Summit creates an exciting opportunity to deliver even greater value to our industry,” said Greta Wagner, Interim President and CEO of HFA. “As technology and business growth become increasingly interconnected, joining forces allows us to strengthen the collective voice that moves our industry forward.”
Technology Integration at The HFA Show 2027
The partnership will also extend to HFA’s flagship international event, The HFA Show 2027, taking place March 10–12, 2027, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
As part of the programming, FTS will curate three dedicated educational sessions focused on how emerging technologies and AI are reshaping club operations, revenue models, and the member journey from end to end.
“HFA is the unified voice of our industry around the world,” noted Al Noshirvani, Co-Founder and CEO of AltaDX. “By working together, we can bring more leaders into the conversation and build something bigger than any single event or organization.”
“Technology now touches every part of the member journey,” added Tara Levitt, Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer of AltaDX. “Operators need practical, honest conversations about how to leverage it effectively to drive the global industry forward.”
Additional details regarding event schedules and speaker lineups will be released by both organizations in the coming months.
