Core Health & Fitness, a leader in the global commercial fitness industry, proudly announces the successful completion of two key US acquisitions: Florida-based Fitnessmith and Addison, Texas-based Comm-Fit. Both transactions closed on October 30.
These strategic acquisitions mark the next phase of Core’s aggressive growth initiative, following the acquisition of Aktiv in 2025. By integrating Fitnessmith and Comm-Fit, Core significantly strengthens its direct sales, installation, and service coverage across multi-family housing, hospitality, corporate wellness, educational, and educational markets throughout the United States.
Seamless End-to-End Customer Experience
The integration transforms Core’s operational capabilities, creating a fully integrated platform designed to manage the entire customer life cycle. Clients will now benefit from a seamless, direct partnership with Core, encompassing initial consultation, spatial design, installation, ongoing preventative maintenance, service, and eventual equipment trade-in or replacement.
“With the acquisition of Aktiv last year, we established a foundational strategy to expand our direct-to-customer capabilities in key vertical markets,” said Joey Osborne, President of Core Health & Fitness. “The addition of Fitnessmith and Comm-Fit represents the next phase of this execution and a massive step forward. We are pursuing an ambitious vision, and these acquisitions demonstrate our determination to realize that future.”
Regional Strength and Deeper Expertise
Both acquired companies bring invaluable local market knowledge and technical expertise to the Core family:
Fitnessmith (Florida) is renowned for its established commercial sales business, deep equipment expertise, and strong customer relationships supported by robust installation and service capabilities. This acquisition accelerates Core’s growth within the Florida market and southeastern commercial segments.
Comm-Fit (Texas) contributes a powerful regional presence and a proven track record of delivering premier fitness equipment and holistic spatial solutions. This strengthens Core’s direct reach within Texas and surrounding high-growth markets.
“These investments are integral to our long-term strategic roadmap, and we are just getting started,” added Michael Bruno, CEO of Core Health & Fitness. “We will continue to actively pursue opportunities that fortify our business, enhance our capabilities, and position Core for sustainable, long-term growth.”
