Aqua Training Bag is expanding its nationwide retail footprint across the United States. Through its global licensing partnership with boxing legacy brand Everlast, the Philadelphia-based manufacturer’s water-filled punching bags are officially rolling out at two of the country’s largest sporting goods retailers: Dick’s Sporting Goods and Academy Sports + Outdoors.
The retail expansion marks a significant milestone for Aqua Training Bag, bringing its flagship combat-training equipment to a broader consumer market. Unlike traditional sand- or fiber-filled heavy bags, Aqua Training Bag utilizes water-filled technology to absorb and disperse the kinetic impact of punches and kicks. While engineered for high-performance boxing, MMA, and kickboxing, the products are increasingly adopted for general strength and conditioning, boutique studio classes, and at-home workouts.
“Seeing Aqua Training Bag roll out nationally with Dick’s Sporting Goods and Academy is an important moment for our company,” said Royce Negron, President of Aqua Training Bag. “Our goal has always been bigger than creating another heavy bag. We want to change the way people experience boxing and combat training.”
The nationwide rollout is accelerated by Everlast’s century-long brand legacy and established supply chain networks. By integrating Aqua Training Bag’s proprietary water-bag technology into Everlast’s global licensing platform, the brand gains immediate access to vast brick-and-mortar distribution channels.
The retail expansion aligns with broader fitness market trends. As boxing-inspired conditioning gains traction beyond traditional combat sports gyms, heavy-bag workouts have become staple offerings across boutique studios, commercial fitness centers, and residential gyms.
Beyond consumer retail, Aqua Training Bag’s equipment continues to be utilized by professional combat athletes and elite training facilities globally. Looking ahead, the company plans to leverage its Everlast partnership to accelerate international expansion and introduce next-generation product lines to the commercial and consumer fitness sectors.
