From April 16 to 19, local time in Cologne, Germany, FIBO, the world’s largest and most watched annual exhibition in the commercial fitness equipment industry, officially opened.
GUWOW, a commercial fitness equipment manufacturer from Shandong, China, made its debut with its high-end sub-brand ASTRA for the first time. With its original design and product performance, it became one of the Chinese brands that attracted high attention at this exhibition.
From OEM manufacturing to original high-end: GUWOW’s brand advancement
Behind GUWOW is an old-brand manufacturer in China’s manufacturing field, which has long provided OEM production services for international brands, with nearly 40 years of manufacturing experience and a mature supply chain system. The ASTRA series launched this time is its first independent attempt in the high-end segmented market, focusing on original design and the positioning of “durability and sturdiness”.

One of the core selling points of the ASTRA series equipment exhibited this time is the A-type tower structure design that pays tribute to the Eiffel Tower. This structure draws on the principles of architectural mechanics, which not only improves the overall stability, but also optimizes the force distribution of the equipment, reducing the shaking and abnormal noise under high-intensity training. This is also a targeted improvement made by GUWOW based on years of OEM experience to address the pain points of high-frequency use in commercial scenarios.
On-site feedback at the German exhibition: Professional users’ new attitude towards Chinese original creations
According to on-site staff, the ASTRA booth attracted a large number of overseas dealers, venue operators and fitness enthusiasts to stop and experience on the first day of the exhibition. Many overseas purchasers said that compared with traditional European and American brands, ASTRA has strong competitiveness in terms of structural stability and smooth force lines.
A local venue operator from Germany said after experiencing it on site:
“Such equipment with an A-type structure has a more solid support feeling during training than ordinary commercial equipment. For our venues that are open 24 hours a day with high daily usage rates, durability and stability are the primary considerations.”
It is worth noting that the ASTRA series did not adopt a low-price strategy, but entered the market with a mid-to-high-end pricing, which is also regarded as a “price range breakthrough” for Chinese commercial fitness equipment brands in the international market, no longer relying solely on cost advantages to participate in competition.

Backed by Mr. Olympia China: Dual layout in the domestic market and international stage
In addition to overseas exhibitions, GUWOW is also promoting brand upgrading in the domestic market simultaneously.
Earlier, GUWOW has officially announced that it has become the designated fitness equipment supplier for the 2026 Mr. Olympia China Station, providing professional training equipment support for domestic top bodybuilding events.
Industry analysts pointed out that domestic high-end commercial equipment represented by ASTRA is gradually breaking the long-term monopoly of European and American brands in the high-end market through the dual-line layout of “international exhibitions + top events”. “In the past, Chinese manufacturers were more like ‘behind-the-scenes OEMs’, but now they are starting to step into the spotlight, speaking with original designs and quality, which is a sign of the maturity of the industry.”
Conclusion: A new stage of globalization for China’s commercial fitness equipment
At this FIBO exhibition, the appearance of GUWOW ASTRA is not only a brand test, but also reflects the overall changes in China’s commercial fitness equipment industry – from “the world’s factory” to “Made in China Intelligent”, from OEM production to original brands, domestic commercial equipment is gaining re- recognition in the global market through upgrades in technology, design and quality.
In the future, whether the ASTRA series can open up the situation in the international market with the popularity of this exhibition remains to be verified by the market. However, it is certain that more and more Chinese manufacturers like GUWOW are participating in global competition with a more proactive attitude, promoting changes in the pattern of the entire industry.
