1. Ergatta and iFIT Expand Partnership to Introduce Tour de France Experience

Ergatta has broadened its collaboration with iFIT to integrate game-based fitness content into a wider range of cardio equipment, including bikes, treadmills, and rowers. Coinciding with the Tour de France finale, the companies are launching a special racing feature for cycling enthusiasts.

The partnership builds on their earlier launch of Ergatta content on select iFIT treadmills. New updates include competitive Races and the personalized Meteor game. Treadmill users will benefit from new terrains and pacing suitable for walkers and hikers, while cyclists can access competitive rides through scenic French routes. Rowers will enjoy the adaptive Meteor game.
iFIT’s Chief Subscription Officer Jeremy McCarty stated, “We’re thrilled to enable our members to experience their own mini-Tour de France, elevating engagement through innovative game-based workouts.”

After a successful pilot in Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C., Peloton has rolled out its pre-owned marketplace “Repowered” across the U.S. The platform enables users to buy and sell used Peloton bikes, treadmills, and accessories, promoting sustainability and affordability.

Powered by Archive, Repowered offers sellers pricing guidance based on market trends and equipment condition. Buyers can view detailed equipment histories, benefit from buyer protection policies, and soon opt for delivery services. Purchases for buyers will open in August.

3. Life Time Launches AI Assistant Nationwide to Boost Digital Strategy

Life Time has fully launched its Microsoft-powered AI assistant, L.AI.C, following a beta phase. Embedded within the redesigned LT Digital app, the tool provides personalized fitness programs, supplement guidance, and wellness tips.

The AI responds to prompts such as “Create a three-day strength program,” offering video workouts and expert recommendations from Life Time dietitians and health coaches. The app also includes extensive on-demand content and is integral to growing Life Time’s supplement brand, LTH.

CEO Bahram Akradi emphasized, “L.AI.C represents the next phase in providing highly personalized support to enhance our members’ health journeys.”

4. Decathlon Plans $3 Billion Sourcing Expansion from India by 2030

Decathlon aims to double its sourcing from India to $3 billion by 2030, increasing its global sourcing share from 8% to 15%. The French retailer plans to focus on high-demand categories such as footwear, fitness equipment, and technical textiles.

With over 70% of products sold in India already locally sourced, Decathlon targets 90% by 2030. The strategy builds on a robust ecosystem that includes a design center, 113 manufacturing sites, 83 suppliers, and 7 production offices.

Decathlon currently operates 132 stores in 55 Indian cities, generating over ₹4,000 crore (USD 560 million) in FY’24.

The partnership offers Pause customers immersive experiences at no extra cost and exclusive discounts on Alo Moves subscriptions. Pause plans to integrate the audio program into other therapies and expand through community events.

Pause expects to reach 25 franchised studios by the end of 2025 and is preparing for international expansion.

Garmin has acquired MyLaps, a Netherlands-based provider of sports timing and performance analysis solutions. Serving markets such as motorsports, cycling, running, and equestrian events, MyLaps operates globally with over 200 employees.

Garmin’s Co-COO Brad Trenkle said the acquisition “will set a new standard for performance-focused training and race-day technology.” MyLaps Managing Director Camiel Slaats noted the deal will enhance timing and event management solutions for Garmin’s global customer base.

8. Big 5 Sporting Goods Reports Wider Q2 Loss Amid Pending Acquisition

Big 5 Sporting Goods posted a Q2 2025 net loss of $24.5 million (USD 1.11 per share), more than doubling the prior-year loss of $10 million. Comparable-store sales dropped 6.1%, with net sales falling to $184.9 million from $199.8 million.

Gross margin decreased to 28.2%, while selling and administrative expenses rose due to merger-related costs, employee benefits, and store impairments. Adjusted EBITDA was negative $14.7 million.

In June, Big 5 agreed to be acquired by Worldwide Golf and Capitol Hill Group for $1.45 per share, a 36% premium. The transaction is expected to close in late 2025, taking the company private.

9. Rouvy Acquires Spanish Indoor Cycling Platform Bkrool

Czech indoor cycling platform Rouvy has acquired Spain-based Bkrool to strengthen its presence in Spanish-speaking markets, France, and Denmark. Bkrool’s technology for converting GPX files into 3D routes will complement Rouvy’s Route Creator.

The deal, following Rouvy’s previous acquisition of FulGaz, positions the company as a leader in indoor cycling reality solutions with over 250,000 riders. Bkrool will continue operating as a standalone brand within The Rouvy Group.
