On May 21, the 2026 (43rd) China sport show opened in Xiamen, Fujian Province. The four-day event runs through May 24.
The China sport show features the APFIT Asia-Pacific Fitness Exhibition, the Sports Venue Facilities and Equipment Exhibition Zone, and the Sports Consumption and Services Exhibition Zone. These zones cover a wide range of sectors, including professional fitness, lightweight fitness, sports rehabilitation and wellness, professional sports performance assessment, fitness equipment supply chain, sports engineering, professional sports equipment, and public fitness equipment. The show also hosts dedicated areas for government sports initiatives, table tennis / badminton / tennis, sportswear and footwear, sports services, the three major ball sports (basketball, football, volleyball), outdoor sports, and urban fashion sports, collectively showcasing the latest achievements and emerging trends in the sporting goods manufacturing industry.
According to the organizer China Sporting Goods Federation, the total exhibition area of this year’s China sport show exceeds 200,000 square meters, with more than 2,000 exhibiting companies. Pre-registration figures surpassed 33,000 visitors: over 25,000 came from the Chinese mainland, more than 7,500 from overseas, and over 380 from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. International visitors from a total of 117 countries and regions completed pre-registration, and the show is expected to welcome more than 120,000 visitors over its duration — with multiple metrics setting new all-time records.
The China sport show has further optimized its exhibition layout and content this year, expanding in scale while simultaneously enhancing its international exchange and business matchmaking functions. Rooted in China’s domestic industrial base and oriented toward the Asia-Pacific market, the show draws buyers and industry professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region and around the world. By partnering with overseas industry associations and strengthening international market outreach, the event facilitates brand collaboration and business connections between Chinese and global companies.
Centered on the themes of the “experience economy” and the “first-release economy” (**a model centered on debuting new products and services**), this year’s China sport show features interactive experience activities and new product showcases, integrating product displays, immersive experiences, and business matchmaking. The APFIT Asia-Pacific Fitness Exhibition, the Sports Venue Facilities and Equipment Exhibition Zone, and the Sports Consumption and Services Exhibition Zone each have distinct focuses, collectively highlighting new developments in the sporting goods industry in areas such as technology application, consumption upgrading, and scenario expansion.
Across the exhibition halls, a host of innovative products and solutions made their debut, including AI intelligent skiing systems, outdoor intelligent fitness testing all-in-one machines, intelligent pendulum trainers, intelligent magnetic resistance upper body trainers, intelligent chest press and rowing trainers, modular floating sports floors, and AI intelligent venue energy management systems. These offerings span a broad range of application scenarios — from public fitness and professional training to venue operations and sports consumption. Technology-driven fitness, sports wellness and rehabilitation, venue facility upgrades, and trendy outdoor gear also reflect, from multiple angles, the structural upgrading of the sporting goods industry and the expansion of consumption scenarios.
During the expo, more than 50 industry conferences and supporting events will be held. Highlights include the 37th stop of the “Resource Sharing & Supply-Demand Matching” sports resource matchmaking event on the China Sporting Goods Federation industry service platform, the 8th Sports Venue Facilities Industry Conference, the Digital Sports Industry Conference, the Fitness Industry Exchange Conference, and numerous business matchmaking sessions. These events will focus on resource matching, industry exchange, technology application, and consumption trends, building a platform for communication and collaboration among government agencies, industry associations, enterprises, research institutions, and buyers.
In addition, the China sport show will host a series of competitive events, including the Fujian Provincial Roller Skating Open, the National Fitness Championship cum World Fitness Championship Qualifier, the CBBA PRO China Fitness and Bodybuilding Elite Professional League Xiamen Stop, and the 2026 National Fitness and Bodybuilding Rookie Competition. These competitions offer sports enthusiasts the chance to experience athletic events and sports consumption scenarios up close.
The expo is organized by the China Sporting Goods Federation, China Sporting Goods (Beijing) Sports Industry Development Co., Ltd., and China Sporting Goods (Hainan) Sports Technology Industry Development Co., Ltd., with support from the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau.
